Interesting variation of classic tower defense with a well planned rotation concept.
If you’re at all a fan of Tower Defense games, pick it up. It’s a fun time and offers a neat twist in its gameplay that only makes it all the more endearing.
Aegis of Earth has potential, but it fails to deliver an engaging experience. It's not a bad game, but it's a good choice of you've played all the other main tower defense games.
Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault is perfectly serviceable, I guess, if that's all you're looking for, but if you want any more than that — say, if you want a game that really does have a neat new twist on the tower defense formula — it'll just end up disappointing you.
If you're a fan of its anime art or simple tower defense mechanics, Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault might be worth your time, but it doesn't exactly have any major selling points either.
Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault is proof positive that one good idea can’t carry a title. The central gimmick is a good one, but there is just no reason to subject yourself to a game so unambitious and condescending.
